The Cody Nite Rodeo, held nightly during the summer months of June through August in Cody, Wyoming, offers an authentic and thrilling celebration of rodeo traditions. This action-packed event showcases the skill, bravery, and athleticism of both professional and amateur riders, as they compete in a variety of exciting rodeo events, including bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping.

The Cody Cattle Company is a dinner and show experience for all ages. They offer a nightly buffet with a great menu, followed by live music starring Ryan Martin and the Triple C Cowboys. Arms of the Revolution opens April 17, 2026 in the Cody Firearms Museum as a signature exhibition marking America’s 250th anniversary. In recognition of our nation’s founding, the exhibition brings visitors face to face with the actual firearms and projectiles carried on Revolutionary battlefields. Drawing from the museum’s own holdings and rare loans from Fort Ticonderoga, Minuteman National Historic Site, and leading private collections, the exhibition explores the weapons of both Patriot and Loyalist forces. Dramatic displays, including opposed muskets, an exploded-view firearm, and cutting-edge forensic analysis, reveal how arms shaped America’s fight for independence.

Buffalo Nation is a two-year celebration honoring America’s 250th anniversary and our national mammal – the American bison. This powerful animal has stood as witness to profound cultural and ecological change. Its story is one of resilience, strength, and symbolism—offering a powerful lens into America’s past and an inspiring vision for its future. The Buffalo Nation experience launches in January 2026 and includes multiple exhibitions, dazzling new technology, and an exciting lineup of public programs and educational activities.

The students at Cody High School wish to put on the musical Annie Get Your Gun, a classic musical depicting the colorful life of Annie Oakley, the famous sharp shooter, and her rise to fame on Buffalo Bill´s Wild West Show. Rehearsals will start in late January of 2026 and the show will run April 16-18 in the Wynona Thompson Auditorium.

In honor of Paul Revere's famous ride on April 18, 1775, we encourage everyone to put two lights in their window to commemorate that historic night.

In partnership with Cody Medical Foundation, the Park County America's 250 committee will be hosting a Chuckwagon Cookoff with 4 champion level wagons. Tickets are available now for purchase. It is only $20 for your authentic meal cooked over wood burning fire including Chicken fried steak, beans, biscuits, and cobbler. The wagons will be cooking all day on Saturday, serving lunch at 1pm, with the champions announced on Sunday morning! On Monday June 29th join us for the Cattle drive through town, stroll through the boardwalk, dinner at the Elkhorn Bar & Grill, street dance and live band and outdoor movie night.

Held annually in Cody, Wyoming, these events feature top-tier bull riders competing against some of the most aggressive and powerful bulls in the world, with the goal of staying atop for a full 8 seconds.

Held every July 1–4, The Cody Stampede Rodeo attracts cowboys and cowgirls from across North America to compete for big prizes and ride the best rodeo stock in the country. This rodeo celebration offers four days of action-packed rodeo entertainment, craft fair, food booths, and daily parades.

This charming event allows children to participate in the celebration, with local kids donning creative costumes and decorating bikes, wagons, and floats. It’s a heartwarming event that emphasizes community spirit and provides a fun and engaging experience for families to enjoy together.

The main parade takes place on July 3rd and July 4th at 9:30 AM, winding its way down Sheridan Avenue, the heart of Cody’s downtown district. Visitors can expect a vibrant mix of traditional Western themes, modern-day elements, and family-friendly entertainment, creating an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.

America's Potluck is an opportunity for neighbors to join with one another to share a fun, communal meal, creating a sense of connection and belonging and fostering interactions among people from all walks of life.

The Cody Heritage Museum is once again facilitating “Flags of Honor,” a patriotic showing of flags to honor our veterans and our country. The Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation proposes to bring, Defining Courage, a powerful immersive stage production by renowned news anchor, David Ono, to Park County. The production brings to life the overlooked stories of Japanese American soldiers who served with extraordinary valor during World War II, despite their families being unjustly incarcerated in camps across the country, including Heart Mountain, Wyoming. As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States, this production offers a timely and meaningful opportunity to reflect on the complexities of American history and the courage it takes to uphold American ideals. By bringing Defining Courage to Park County, we honor this legacy of service and sacrifice, while inviting our Wyoming community to engage in a deeper understanding of patriotism, civil rights, and the ongoing pursuit of a more perfect union.
